Hiking Zion's

A couple weeks ago Ezra's favorite mission companion came down to Sr. George to visit and brought his girlfriend to meet us. They got engaged 3 days after coming down to visit we are so excited she is such a cute girl. We went hiking in Zions and had a blast it was perfect weather and we did an awesome hike the views were amazing. Of course Ezra and Sam had to through rocks over the edge about twenty times to see how long it would tak eto hit the ground. (once a boy always a boy!) We also went minature golfing and to the movies while they were here. We were sad to see them go but hopefully we will see them soon. Ezra and I are just staying busy with school and work. We have been doing some fun things to the house and are getting ready to finish the backyard over spring break. I am so excited to look out the window and not see ugly dirt!!!! Not to mention when people come over and park out back it tracks dirt into my house. So need less to say I will be thrilled to have it done. Here are some pics from the last month of events.

Were back to the hustle and bustle- School started up January 5th so by now we are crazy busy going to school and running Kim's Cleaning Service and PreCast Concepts. Ezra is graduating with his Associates degree in May and will start the fast track Bachelors in Communications degree program in August and I will have my pre-requsites for hygiene school completed in the Fall so I am excited about that. We are still loving St. George and wouldn't trade our lives here for anything. (especially this time of year when it's freezing cold in northern utah.) Ezra and I just got called about a month ago to teach the CTR 8 in primary, we have 13 kids in our class so its been interesting to say the least! We have kids that eat paper, boobers, suck on tacks and say all kinds of crazy things but they are a good group of kids. Here are some family pictures we had taken while in Las Vegas for Christmas.

Happy New Year

This New Year comes with a couple changes to the Irvin family.... Ezra bought Stone Mountain which is who he has worked for the last year doing precast fireplace mantels. We named our new company Precast Concepts and he is explanding with a couple new products that we are very excited about like benches, pillars etc. The change has been in the works the last 3 months and is official as of January 1st. He is extremely excited and very ambitious, He works non stop but I am able to go with him to do meetings and installs so I cant complain. He is also excited because we bought him a new truck yesterday to haul our new trailer for the business so he is feeling very manly! (hehe) This is my favorite mantle, I want it in my next house.

Christmas in Las Vegas

Ezra and I spent the Christmas holiday with The Norr family which included everyone which is a big deal because we havent all been together since Nic and Kyle got married in June. A family reunion was well over due, it was great to take a break from our busy lives and just enjoy family. We hung out a couple days before Christmas, my mom helped me make pj's for my 3 nephews that live in Las Vegas. We met up with Ezra's brother Brandon and his family at the Bellagio to look at the Christmas display and watched the water show out front. It was a bit chilling but not too bad. Christmas day came and was full of surprises, I didn't know a thing that I was getting and my husband did awesome. Ezra didnt get through the day without a few power tools himself.(It must be a man thing, he loves tools!) We had lots of fun and look forward to the next time were all together again. We can't wait Kyle and Nic are moving to Cedar City which is just 35 minutes away so we will see them all the time!

Crazy Black Friday Shoppers
Our morning started at around 3am as My sister in-law;s Julie and Chelsea, My little sister Madison and I bundled up to head to wait in line at Target. We brought our lawn chairs and just camped out for 2 hours waiting for Target to open. We had a list and each one of us had a route. Maddi insisted on running with Chelsea which made me very nervous because of all the crazy people but she had a blast and has already told me that we need to go next year. We went from store to store throughout the morning and come home around 10 am and crashed! Thanks to my sweet husband my Sister in-law got to come with for the first time he slept over at her house so he would be there when the kids woke up. I was exhausted for days after but it is always so much fun!

Emalee's Birthday Bash!

Our two neices have been wanting to come over to our new house and sleepover since we moved in so last weekend we had them over night. It was Emalee's 5th birthday and we decorated cupcakes, watched The Bee Movie, colored and then read stories at bedtime. They were such good sleepers, Ezra and I woke up to the girls giggling in the guest bedroom down the hall, we listened to them play together for about 30 minutes then they heard us talking and came running in. They are so adorable! We spent hours swimming in our pool, playing simon says and then had lunch before taking them home. They were alot of fun to have around, here are some pics from our sleepover.

Better late than never, I couple of weeks ago my mom and I went to Time Out for Women in Las Vegas together. We had so much fun I went down friday night we shopped and just hung out. We got up the following morning and went to Time Out for Women, besides all the crazy Vegas drivers we made it safe. It wasa wonderful day filled with inspirational music and speakers. Hillary Weeks was my favorite part by far. I bought her new cd,"If I only had today" and I love it. On our way back to the house my mom took me to her favorite frozen yogurt place, Tutti Bella and it was so yummy I cant wait to go back. I loved spending time with my mom she is an amazing women and my role model. I love her so much anyone that knows her cant help but love her. Needless to say it was just really fun to spend time one on one with my mom.

Playing catch up

Ezra and I have been married since June 16th 2007. We live in Washington, Utah where we bought our first home last March. We love our location and our neighbors are great. I stay busy going to school majoring in Dental Hygiene and running my cleaning business. I love being self employed it has been a great change for my life as a student. Ezra is working on his bachelors in Business at Dixie as well. He runs Stone Mountain Castings here in southern utah, which is a company based out of Draper, Utah that does fireplace surrounds. We love our lives here in Southern Utah. My family is in Las Vegas so it is just a short drive to see them and Ezra's family is here in St. George for the most part, but he has one brother that lives in Las Vegas with his wife and 3 boys. We love spending time with our 4 nephews and 5 neices, with another nephew on the way which we are very excited about. We have been busy with projects around the house... Travertine backsplash in the kitchen, painting, decorating, finishing our garage, and tearing out a wall (the wall was a huge project so glad that it is done.) We are busy hitting the books none stop school started 3 weeks ago so we have been missing our summer vacation from school needless to say. Ezra has been playing city league softball with hs brothers and some friends this last week they finished up the season taking 1st place. (A trophy and shirt which he is very proud of.) I am going to post a bunch of pictures seing that it has been so long. I will do better to keep everyone posted on our lives here in St. George. Seeing that I spending hours looking and reading all of your blogs.
